Contract Services

An analytical service using our proprietary novel ELISA system [Glyco-S ELISA] for measuring N-glycosylated HBV particles.

Applicable Genotype: A, B, C and D

Overview

HBV particles are coated with HBsAg, which is modified by N-linked and O-linked glycans in a subtype-specific manner.1
Glycosylation of HBsAg is required for HBV formation and secretion, and is important in the HBV life cycle.2
N-glycosylation has also been suggested to contribute to immune evasion.3

The Glyco-S ELISA system developed by our company is a novel service capable of quantifying N-glycosylation of HBsAg, applicable to research into disease status, drug responsiveness, and immune response not detectable by conventional HBsAg testing. To the best of our validation, the service is capable of measuring HBsAg glycosylation for Genotypes A, B, C, and D.

We offer a contract measurement service in which customer samples are received and analyzed using the Glyco-S ELISA system.

An analytical service measuring O-glycosylated M-HBsAg using the HBsAgGi ELISA system.

Applicable Genotype: C

Overview

We have established a novel ELISA system using HBsAgGi and commercialized it as the ‘HBsAgGi ELISA Kit.’ In addition to the kit, we also offer a contract measurement service. By utilizing our contract measurement service to measure infectious HBV particles — comprising DNA virions and RNA virions — new research opportunities open up for our customers.
