◆ Glycan Biomarkers
We are a biotech company and a technology transfer venture of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), leveraging glycan-related technologies for broad clinical applications including IVD biomarker development and therapeutic antibody generation.
Glycans — the fourth chain of life — define differences between cells, organs, and individuals, and change in a disease-specific manner in conditions such as infections and cancer. These qualitative changes make glycan biomarkers critically important tools for precision medicine.
Our pharmaco-glycoproteomics platform enables the continuous generation of novel therapeutic antibodies, biomarkers, and IVDs for specific disease detection.
Our current IVD pipeline is focused on hepatitis B: we have obtained regulatory approval for the HBsAgGi ELISA Kit, which uses an antibody specifically recognizing the O-glycan structure on the PreS2 domain of M-HBsAg — a structure unique to infectious HBV particles.
Research reagents and contract measurement services using HBsAgGi are also available. We additionally offer an antibody generation platform targeting immune evasion driven by N-linked glycosylation.
